Riverhawks Halt Cecil

ARNOLD, Md. - Cecil men's basketball ran into foul trouble Wednesday evening, costing them its road contest with the Anne Arundel Riverhawks on Wednesday evening.

Jaiden Guy led the Seahawks with 19 points and six steals. Deuce Bevins II collected a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. 

The two teams finished nearly even from the floor, but Anne Arundel ended the night 24-for-35 from the free throw line. The Seahawks matched their season high with 27 fouls and knocked down just 10 of its 21 attempts from the line.

Cecil falls to 4-13 (0-4 Region 20) on the year.

Turning Point

The Seahawks took an early 16-8 led, but squandered it midway through the first with poor shooting and turnovers. After an 11-0 run, Anne Arundel took a 19-16 lead with 8:07 to go in the first and never trailed again.
