Cardinals Fall to #1 Ranked Patriots

CCBC Catonsville's baseball team dropped their fourth straight game to open the season, losing 13-1 to the College of Central Florida.

Facing the number-one-ranked team in the nation, the Cardinals managed five hits against the Patriots.

Central Florida homered on the first pitch of the game, setting the tone of the contest. The Patriots scored 12 of their 13 runs in the first four innings, adding one more in the bottom of the sixth.

Catonsville was able to get on the scoreboard in the top of the seventh when sophomore outfielder Wyatt Moore (West Orange) drove in sophomore outfielder Caleb Bailey (Old Mill). It was a tough loss but a good fight by the Cardinals.

Catonsville has just three games left in their Florida road trip.
