LATE BASKET LIFTS WOLFPACK TO WIN OVER GROVE CITY JV

GROVE CITY, Pa. - Dan McQuaide scored with 27 seconds to play to take the lead and the Westmoreland County Community College men's basketball used two defensive stops in the closing seconds to secure a 76-75 victory over Grove City College's JV program Thursday night.

The McQuaide bucket completed a late rally from the Wolfpack, who trailed by six with just over two minutes to play. It also capped a strong offensive night for Westmoreland, who set season-bests in shooting percentage (50.0) and assists (20). 

Pacing the offense was Christian Montgomery, who had team-highs of 16 points and seven steals, as well as five assists and five rebounds. It was a balanced attack for the Wolfpack, as four scored in double digits and seven in all scored eight or more in the game. Adding in 11 points apiece were Dylan Bubarth, who also made seven steals, and Jacob Biros, while Joel Lonigro hit for 10 markers and passed out a team-high six assists. Rounding out the scoring with nine points was Cam'ron McKinney and McQuaide and Travis McCoy each had eight.

The Wolfpack are back on the road for their next outing with a trip to 19th-ranked Potomac State on Thursday, Dec. 12th.
