ARNOLD, MD – Joba Malomo scored his first career goal in the 72nd minute to lift the Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over visiting Harford Community College Tuesday evening at Siegert Field.
Alex Calogero put AACC (8-5-1) on the board in the 55th minute before assisting Malomo's game-winner.
Harford (7-9) held a 1-0 lead headed into halftime on a late goal from Auston Pellegrino. Calogero evened the score with a low shot from way outside, tallying his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
Later, Calogero fed a clear ball up to Malomo on the right side for the freshman to hit the opposite side of the net for his first collegiate strike.
Brenden LeMaster made one save, coming in the second half, to preserve the win. Harford keeper Collin Davies stopped two shots, one in each half.
AACC travels to Prince George's Community College on Tuesday, October 22nd, for a key Region XX contest at 5 pm.
