Wolfpack Finish Up Fall Regular Season at Greater Allegheny

Wolfpack Finish Up Fall Regular Season at Greater Allegheny

Wednesday afternoon saw the Westmoreland County Community College men's soccer team play their final match of the season against Penn State Greater Allegheny.

The Wolfpack played their best game of the season, by playing outstanding defense, especially in the second half. In the second half of the match the Wolfpack allowed only one goal, which came on a penalty kick.

Westmoreland racked up shots on goal by Nathan Kikel (4), Clay Berkebile and Andres Lemus (2), and Dylan Rathway, Sam Parker, Anas Alanazi (1). While goaltender Jonathan Heveker made five saves in the contest as well.

With the teams season now over, with a 0-7 record, and Coach Martin Freese has his first season under his belt, the Wolfpack will look towards building off the foundation that these young men have built. The leader ship of the sophomores will be missed, but this year's freshman class is ready to step up and take a leadership role with this team in the fall of 2024.
