Keyser, W.Va. – For the third straight game the WVU Potomac State College men's basketball faced an opponent ranked in the top 10 nationally in the NJCAA poll. For the third straight time the Catamounts fell short. After dropping two straight contests to No. 8 ranked CC Beaver County, Potomac State lost to No. 10 ranked Cecil College 90-82 Saturday afternoon at Lough Gymnasium.

After spotting Cecil an early 8-2 lead the Catamounts seized control of the tempo and outpaced their opponent the remainder of the first half. Corey Allision led the Catamounts offensively with 13 points prior to the intermission. At the break Potomac State held a 41-38 lead.

In the second half the Seahawks proved much harder for the Catamounts to contain. Cecil shot 60 percent from the floor in the second half on 18-30 shooting including 5-12 on three pointers. They proved just as deadly at the charity stripe, connecting on 11 of 13 free throws, (84 percent). Potomac State's best efforts could not keep pace with the Cecil offensive proficiency. Cecil outscored PSC 52-41 in the second half.
