In a tough loss for the Potomac State Catamounts, Surry Community College capitalized on an explosive first inning to take an 11-3 victory. Despite a late rally from Potomac State, the early deficit proved too large to overcome. Surry came out swinging in the first inning, putting up 10 runs to seize control early. Potomac State was able to get on the board in the second inning but was unable to match the offensive surge from Surry. Potomac State tried to rally in the third and again in the final innings, but it was not enough as Surry held on for the win.
