Catonsville gets Dominated by Howard

Columbia, MD- Men's basketball gets demolished by Howard Dragons 111-64.

Catonsville was looking for their sixth win of the season after coming off a near 40-point loss to beltway rival CCBC Essex. However, the matchup against Howard proved to be just as crushing.

Howard came into the contest with a stunning 11-3 record- a record that puts them at the top of the MD-Juco conference, and Region XX. It is well known that Howard is the team to beat this season, and any school would have a difficult time besting them.

The Cardinals were lackluster in their shots Wednesday evening, as they only posted a 34.9 field-goal percentage and a 53.6% from the free-throw line.

Tamaron Hargett would the be star of the evening for Catonsville, going 7-9 and recording 21 points. Hargett would also put up four assists and two steals. Sophomore John McNeal wouldn't be too far behind him- putting up 18 points of his own. Kahlil Allen would secure seven rebounds for the squad, while Miles Gaynair would record six assists.

Despite a few impressive stats, the Catonsville team would lose by 47. Howard improves to 12-3, nearly securing their spot as the top of both the conference and region.

The Cardinals will look to redeem themselves as their host College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, January 14th. The game will directly follow the women's matchup, and will begin at 7P.M., respectively.
