Cardinals Suffer Tough Loss to Monroe

CCBC Catonsville's men's basketball team suffered their third loss in a row on Saturday, falling to Monroe Community College 75-60.

Despite three Cardinal players scoring in double digits, the Cardinals were unable to overcome a dominant attack from the Tribunes.

Catonsville took an early lead thanks to shots from sophomore guard Murray Grant (Obra D. Tomkins). It would be the only lead of the day as Monroe pulled ahead and dominated the first half. Catonsville would outscore the Tribunes in the second half, including a 9-0 stretch in the final minute. By then, Monroe had already clinched victory.

Despite the loss, the Cardinals did see multiple double-digit scorers. Sophomore guard Jo-Nathan Kelly (Strawberry Mansion) dropped 11 points and three rebounds. Freshman guard Lance Porter (Randallstown) scored ten points, while sophomore forward Andre Stallings-McCargo (Sparrows Point) added 11 points off the bench.
