Roadrunners Roll Past Cecil, Rise to No. 3 in NJCAA D-III National Rankings!

The Roadrunner Baseball team continued one of their best stretches of the season Wednesday, and yes, they are being recognized in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings.

Following the release of the most recent D-III Rankings that saw the Runners rise to the No. 3 spot, RCGC toppled visiting Cecil College by a 21-5 count. The triumph was the seventh straight for Coach Rob Valli's team, a streak that included a win over top-ranked Cumberland on April 25.

Against Cecil, leadoff hitter Lorenzo Morello continued his fine season by slamming two home runs and driving in four runs. Catcher Alex Gattinelli also ripped a home run and collected five RBIs as RCGC rolled to a 21-1 lead after five innings.

Winning pitcher Matt Stil allowed one hit and one run over five innings while striking out 11.

The Runners, who improved to 31-7 overall, have four remaining regular season games before the start of the Region XIX Tournament on May 11.
