Cecil College men's basketball picked up two remaining wins left in 2019 over Monroe Community College and Cuyahoga Community College at the Holiday Classic on December 13 and 14. These two wins improved their overall record to 10-5 while staying at 3-0 against MD JUCO opponents, and marked their sixth victory in a row while staying unbeaten during the month of December. The Seahawks' win streak began at Prince George's Community College on November 23 and have since went 5-0 during the current month.

Cecil College opened the men's division of the Holiday Classic on Friday against Monroe Community College, who previously defeated the Seahawks by a score of 97-78 on November 9. Freshman forward Justin Cohen sparked scoring for the Seahawks, scoring his team's first six points. The Tribunes and Seahawks went back-and-forth in the opening minutes and were faced with three different ties, but Jacob Falko's made layup to go ahead 8-6 at the 17:00 mark would put the Seahawks ahead for good.

The Seahawks extended their lead to 12 at the half and took their largest lead of 24 points after the halftime break to secure a 89-71 victory. Jacob Falko led the way in scoring with 26 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and three steals followed by Justin Cohen with 23 points, three rebounds, and three assists. O'Dell Dickerson added 12 points while McKale Williams contributed 8.

In their second match up of the Holiday Classic, Cecil College defeated Cuyahoga Community College (OH.) by a score of 66-56. The first half of action featured two ties, two different lead changes, and a Seahawks' 30-27 lead at the halftime break.

Cecil opened play after the break by scoring the first eight points of the second half with scoring contributions from Matthew Pearson, Julius Cobb, O'Dell Dickerson, and Justin Cohen. The Triceratops cut their deficit to as little as three in the second half but could not regain the lead before time expired.

Justin Cohen was Cecil's top scorer in the victory with a double-double in points and rebounds followed by three different Seahawks that tallied 10 points - Jacob Falko, Diere Hodges, and McKale Williams. Falko also added nine defensive rebounds and six assists.

The Seahawks dominated in several aspects of the game including shooting 41.5% from the floor and 84.2% from the free throw line compared to the Triceratops' percentages of 35.5% and 50%. Cecil also outrebounded Cuyahoga 40-28 and converted 22 points off turnovers compared to their 15.

The Seahawks will return to action after the holiday break on Monday, January 6 when they take on the Panthers of Baltimore City Community College in North East, Md. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
