Cardinals Split Doubleheader Sunday

Game 1

Game 1 was a 10-0 shutout for Catonsville. They really took off in the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs, and they kept their lead from then on. The Bats were on fire with 10 Hits as a team including 2 doubles. Dominic DeBellis was in full control on the mound. Pitching 6.0 no hit innings of baseball. Dominic gave the Cardinals a shot to win, and the Cardinals took full advantage with their bats.

Game 2

Game 2 was one to forget for the Cardinals. Dropping the game 17-4, the Cardinals were off to early struggles. Falling behind 6-3 in the first inning, their deficit only got worse after that. Hitting struggled, only tallying 4 total team hits. Pitching also fell short, walking 8 and giving up 15 ER.

No Hitter for DeBellis

In DeBellis first start of the season and his college career, he made the most of it, pitching a no-hit ballgame. On the way to allowing no hits DeBellis also struck out 5. Although the 2nd game of the DH was one to forget, the No Hitter for DeBellis will be one to remember and the highlight of the weekend for the Cardinals. The Cardinals move to 7-6 (3-1) and have upcoming games March 11th, against CCBC Essex.
