Baseball: Bested by Prince George's

Largo, MD: Both teams were strong on the mound on Sunday, but Prince George's Community College was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Bucks County Community College Centurions on Sunday. Steve Brady started the game for the Centurions and recorded nine outs.

Bucks got things moving in the first inning. Josh Mcgee grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

Prince George's Community College evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning when an error scored one run for Prince George's Community College.

Prince George's Community College pulled away for good with two runs in the fifth inning.

#6 was the winning pitcher for Prince George's Community College. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out eight. #28 threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.  

Brady led things off on the hill for the Centurions. He surrendered one run on zero hits over three innings, striking out two. Shane Rankin, Chris Thompson, and Kevin Knapp each contributed in relief..

Brendan Jordan, Tyler Frake, and Mcgee each managed to lead the offense.

The Centurions are now 6-2.

The Centurions will be on the road at Mercer County Community College on Tuesday, M arch 10 for a 3:00 PM first pitch.
