Harrisburg, PA – The Hawks Women's Volleyball team faced Lackawanna College and Frederick Community College in a Tri-match Saturday Sept. 30, 2023. The Hawks won both matches improving their overall record 7-4.
Match 1: HACC 3, Lackawanna 0 - Final
The Hawks dominated against Lackawanna College in the Tri-match. The Hawks finished with a convincing win against the Falcons; 3-0. Mackenzie Maass led the squad with 16 kills, while Megan DiAngelis rallied 6 kills and both Jadeyn Snyder and Tennison McGraw added five kills. Aliza Sellars was active with 15 digs. Camryn Heth recorded 15 assists and 8 digs.
Match 2: HACC 3, Frederick CC 1 - Final
The second matchup of the Tri-match was against the Frederick Cougars. The HACC Hawks got right to work building an early lead the first set. The Hawks took the first set 25-19. The second set the Cougars came back as they narrowly took the win; 25-20. The third and fourth sets were controlled by the HACC Hawks ending in a 25-23 and 25-18 wins.
Mackenzie Maass had a team high of 13 kills to pair with her 18 digs. Camryn Heth led the team with 25 assists and tallied 5 serve aces. Aliza Sellars recorded 23 digs for the HACC Hawks while Kaitlin Pluta rallied 24.
The Hawks Women's Volleyball team will travel to Lehigh Carbon Community College on Oct. 3, 2023. The match is set to start at 7 p.m.
