Columbia, MD- Catonsville drops their sixth game of the season to Howard by a mere three points.
After coming off a few promising wins, Catonsville was looking to best a MD-Juco and Region XX rival. Howard. Howard went into the game with an impressive 9-7 record and came out being fourth in MD-Juco. Catonsville would fall to 8-6, placing them seventh in the conference.
With an array of missed shots by both sides, the lackluster score of 66-63 showed a defensive minded matchup. Catonsville only made 26 field-goals- on 100 attempts. The lead scorer for the visiting team was Akirra Pullen, who belted out 17 points and snagged 21 rebounds. Cache Waters made two three-pointers, while Ariana Smith-Rodriguez put up a third. Tylea Galloway would put up 13 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists. The squad also struggled with free-throws, as they only shot 8-19 from the line.
Catonsville looks to bounce back from this loss as they host College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, January 14th. The contest will begin at 5P.M., respectively.
