Carroll competed at a tournament hosted by Hagerstown yesterday, finishing in 2nd place.

This is the best the Lynx have looked all year, putting up a team score of 337 which is ten strokes lower than last week. They were only four shots from tying 1st place Hagerstown who shot 333. Head Coach Kevin Piecewicz was ecstatic after the match, stating "everyone played great!  It seems that they are really starting to settle into the season.  Improving upon our lowest match score by 10 strokes showed what the team is capable of.  I couldn't be prouder of them."

Zach Taylor and Evan Appleby were the co-leaders of the team, each shooting 83 through eighteen. Nathan Leppo would trail them by only one shot with an 84 and Luke Piecewicz put up his best performance yet, scoring an 87. This marks the second tournament in a row that four Lynx golfers shot under 90.

The Lynx seem to be peaking at just the right time with the MD JUCO Championship coming up next week at the Swan Point Yacht and Country Club. To stay up to date on all the action, follow us on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter @Carrolllynx!
