HOLYOKE, MASS. – The Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team picked up a pair of shutout wins at the Cougar Classic hosted by Holyoke Community College over the weekend. The Riverhawks defeated the host Cougars, 4-0, Friday afternoon, and topped North Country Community College, 3-0, on Saturday morning.
Makenzie Boyd recorded a pair of goals in the games while Ally Lavery added a goal and two assists. Kenzie Livingston, Jasmin Godinez, Tadem Augustin, and Tina Tinelli each added a goal.
AACC (2-1-1) controlled the pace in both games, surrendering just one shot on goal across 180 minutes of action.
McKenzie Lanham logged 135 minutes in net saving the lone shot she faced. Godinez played 45 minutes in goal before transitioning to the field.
AACC is back in action on Saturday, September 9, in a 5 p.m. game at Frederick Community College. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 5, but was postponed due to extreme heat.
